Fitness On Demand is a computer based, high definition video system that brings popular workouts and first-class instructors to our members all at their convenience.
Fitness on Demand is available to members anytime during our scheduled business hours of 5am – 8pm Monday through Friday and 7:30am-1:30pm on Saturday, when there is not a class scheduled with live instructors.
Users are able to interact with the program via the Fitness On Demand touch screen in the classroom. If there are no pre-scheduled classes the system is available for walk in members. Members are given more than 100 class options to choose. Once a class is selected, the class can begin within about a minute.
Varied classes are offered including, yoga, weight training, Pilates, kickboxing and a variety of dance-based exercise classes to name a few.
On the big screen, three instructors lead the class chosen in three different levels of difficulty: Beginner, Intermediate and advanced. Participants choose to follow the instructor who is within their comfort level and abilities.
The introduction of Fitness On Demand came from Downtown Fitness for Women’s desire to offer more classes at all times of the day. The usage is increased and a large percentage of members will get to take the fitness classes they desire at the times that fit better into their schedules.
